Hello, I’m Elena!

I am an enthusiastic paediatric speech and language therapist with extensive experience of working with children of all ages. 

I am highly experienced in providing personalised assessment and support for children with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. 

I am an experienced Dysphagia therapist. This means that I am able to provide assessment and intervention for children who experience difficulties with their eating, drinking and swallowing skills.

Services:

I provide assessment and intervention for children who may need support with:

  • Attention and listening skills

  • Auditory memory skills

  • Cleft palate 

  • Delayed language development

  • Dyspraxia

  • Phonological awareness

  • Play and interaction skills

  • Speech sound delay

  • Social communication difficulties

  • Specific language impairment

    I also specialise in working with children who have communication difficulties associated with:

  • Complex cognition and learning profiles

  • Complex or additional needs e.g. Downs Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Disorder

  • Birth injuries e.g. Cerebral Palsy

  • Acquired brain injury e.g. stroke, brain tumour, brain injury/trauma

I am able to provide assessment and reports for Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications. I am also able to provide second opinions or additional assessment/report writing for EHCP Panel appeals. 

I work in a variety of settings including nurseries, pre-schools, primary and secondary schools, family homes and clinics. 

I can be directly employed by families to support their child(ren) within their home or their educational placement. I am also commissioned by mainstream and special schools to provide regular therapy sessions for individual children or groups of children who need additional speech and language support.

I am an expert witness working both independently and for a nationally recognised and accredited expert witness company. I am experienced in writing quantum reports for medico-legal proceedings. I also have experience of working with case management companies to provide intervention for individuals who are provided with therapy provision as part of their legal care package.
